Graševina takes a special place at the table when it comes to domestic Croatian varieties. Worldwide quality recognition puts Croatia at the very top of wine destinations when it comes to wines produced from this grape variety. Even though it is planted all over Europe, many experts today agree that it is Slavonia where Graševina gives some of its best results altogether. A change in the international nomenclature came out of this reputation; today, it is widely considered that the actual name of the grape variety is Graševina and that Wälsch/ Welsh Riesling, Riesling italico, Laški rizling and Olaszrizling are mere synonyms. Vinart organizes a study trip to Slavonia as a part of Graševina Festival. It comprises of visits to local wine growers in Slavonia, themed workshops on graševina variety and wines and a wide range of wines made from graševina.
